I guess I can stop work on the freeware FSX one I was working on when I got bored with the Navion!

FWIW I would always take anything that is made by Rick or yourself in preference to a JF model of the same aircraft ...

I love Rick's Chippie to bits, but it is quite old now, and it's not FSX native, so an up-to-date version is welcome for me at least, whether it's this one or Larry's.
Larry, If I were you, I'd look at the JF one and think "I could do better than that" and go for it!

Looking at the screen shots in the link in the opening post - are the Chipmunk's wings that ribbed ? They look like fabric covered wings, similar to a Tiger Moth's. I've flown in them, and can't remember them being like that. Time for a visit down the road to remind myself.

The wing does look a bit like that but I think they have exagerated it slightly. Here is a video with good views of the wings (from Pprune):-Paul K wrote:Looking at the screen shots in the link in the opening post - are the Chipmunk's wings that ribbed ? Thanks for that, Peter. Yes, exaggerated is the right word - from that video, one can see a slight 'pillowing' of the metal skin up near the wingtip, but nothing as severe as in this JF model, which looks more like doped fabric on wood. I hope they look at it before its released.
And that poor burnt Chipmunk. How sad.
