Vladimir Zhyhulskiy has released a new version of his Antonov An-2 over at Avsim. File name 'an2t_07.zip'. Neat!

Thank you Brian.
I've had practically all the various versions of the An-2 over the versions of FS, so this is a welcome addition.
I seem to have an incomplete virtual cabin with no tail on this one, and I just can't see a flywheel spinner or starter anywhere.
Ctrl E won't work either.
Otherwise a very nice panel.

Manual has delightful pigeon English detail tucked away where ambulators won't find it - throttle must be set to 30% or else it won't start. There's no manual start option at the moment - use Ctrl+E.
I think what Vlad had in mind was the awkward low tickover of the huge radial and when you properly zero the throttle the prop almost stops. Curious choice, but I guess he's on the case after seven versions!

For the real thing for FS9, go to this site and download the three files (install and sounds first, then the update to version 2.1)
Excellent 2d panel, great side views (no VC) and sounds to kill for.
Don't click on this link ...it won't work.
Cut and paste it to the address bar in your browser.

Well, I managed to make Vladimir's work by hacking through the documentation (a bigger than usual challenge but worth the effort as you then end up with all the textures in the right places which makes a difference!!! ) It seems to start up OK for me with CTRL+E. It's a bit strange in flight - takes a while to bleed off speed with the throttles shut which seems unlikely for something which looks as though it has all the aerodynamic efficiency of a large wardrobe or other chunk of household furniture.
However, Xomer's beast has me defeated, in spite of graduating on a couple of Russky FS delights such as the Tu114. Can't figure out how to start Xomer's AN2 from the panel, can't start it with CTRL+E, loading another aircraft and starting that before switching to the AN-2 doesn't work either.
Any thoughts?
