cool stuff, what I would really like is a 707-120 manual though. to make sure I am not doing something untoward to the engines during the climb to cruising altitude.

one thing i have noticed on the vc10 is that there is not egt gadge like on the other jets.
do the conways not have a over heating problem like the spey engines on the other jets.

just curious :think:

Hi Bigred..

All gauges of that type are featured on the engineers panel mate, not on the pilots bit ;-)

ok, but you don't have that panel simulated. :worried: I think I can see it next to the fuel panel in the cockpit view.

but then the vc10 was designed for "hot and high" so can I assume if I follow the rpm limits in takeoff and climb (96% and 93%), I am keeping the engine in the safe zone as far as egt?

in RL on this plane was it the Flight engineer that controlled thrust during takeoff?
