Re: A Guide To Marshalling
I for my sins was a Marshaller (trained by the Jolly Rogers) and then became a marshaller with The Squadron at North Weald and ended up doing a lot of airshows both there and at other places around the country doing everything from fast jets to microlights and helicopters (the last being totally different to move about). Spent the last six years marshalling for the Devon Strut of the PFA (now the LAA), but have now hung up my bats for good.
I have carried out marshalling lectures at Scout Aero Camp (there is a LOT more to the subject than just simply waving your arms around), but never reached the standard of the chap in that video clip. What would I have done for a pair of those Brother Lee Love gloves...dont think the CAA would have approved:)

Re: A Guide To Marshalling
It's obvious that aircraft drivers still ignore marshallers! We used to dive for the tarmac like that when Hunter OCU students turned the wrong way with live 30mm Adens.
