Reminds me of the film of the Boeing 747 brake tests where an early test aircraft in Pan Am livery performs the test and the undercarriage sort of catches fire at the end of the run :o

Not wanting to hijack this thread but this is well worth watching. The Airbus A340-600 rejected take-off. Bit of a long one but when things start to happen when the wheels eventually catch fire listen to the crew and watch the firemen.

I think the brakes on my dad's Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser looked like that after an hour or so with a 16yr old punk behind the wheel (me). Ahh...memories.

Old Yank tanks were all engine and no brakes...even the A380 could probably outbrake most of 'em. :lol:
