Cottesmore Families Day
A very welcome mini display from the Vulcan, seeing as we only expected a flypast!

Re: Cottesmore Families Day
Very nice shots, Tweek.
Out of interest, what is the aerobatic team using the blue aircraft (look like Extra 300's to me, but I've never been very good with aerobatic types)?
The reason I ask, is that I saw them over my house (NW of Cambridge) this afternoon.
Thanks again.

They're The Blades. Usually in an orange and black colour scheme, but I believe they were painted up like this for a press event (Barclays, obviously!). It just seems that they haven't got round to reverting to the old colours, yet.
Thanks for the kind words, too.

I did think of The Blades, as one wing is black, and the other white (it was the blue fuselage that threw me).
I saw a 3 ship formation over my house, followed by a single aircraft trying to catch up.
Tweek, the lighting on the Vulcan (in the shallow dive) is superb.

Kevin

The mind decieves! That's actually in a climb, pretty much above me, and banking, which provided an unsusual angle. It works well though, I think.Kevin Farnell wrote:Tweek, the lighting on the Vulcan (in the shallow dive) is superb.

Garry, I personally think it most unfair to paint a whopping big target on the belly.
