How Many....

Of you have moved onto FSX?

I'm curious to find out how popular it is now amongst the membership, as initially it wasn't well received.

I've installed FS9 along with all of my add-on Scenery & Aircraft, I also decided to install FSX with sp1 & sp2, but it doesn't feel as homely as good old FS2004.

I'm seriously tempted to purchase the Skysim Hawk at the moment too, there's LOTS of nice schemes for it about now

Cheers

HI Dyl :)

As mentioned elsewhere on these hallowed pages.. I run FS9 for serious simming and FSX for playing in. No real intention of going over to FSX fulltime as FS9 still has more than enough to satisfy my needs ;-)

Hi Dave,

I'm in a similar position to you....

I love FS9, but, as I'm currently thinking of revamping all my old scenery stuff, I feel I would have to have FSX installed as I'd imagine there's at least an even number of people using both simulators now, so I'd have to make my stuff FS9 & FSX compatible, as I'd want as many people to be able to use my scenery as possible.

I would if I could but won't be in the forseeable future :)

I would keep FS 9 as well

Hi Garry,

Fair enough mate.

I think I was initially put off by FSX as my frame rates were abysmal. But I'm getting a constant 40 - 50FPS after both service packs, so it's at least bearable now.

FS9 will be on my system for many years to come due to the fact I've got too many add-ons to not use any more. It'' remain my primary sim.

If I could get it back (I have been sent a MS tool that might fix my snag, but I am too scared to use it  ) I would run FSX for doing beta testing and promo shots. However, all my regular mounts are FS9 and so are my home bases that I fly from (photo scenery and super detailed stuff like Portland), so that would still be my sim of choice for some time to come.

I use FSX almost exclusively now, although I still use FS9 for certain add-ons that have not been released for FSX, for example Tongass Fjords and Glacier Bay.
Mcleland Field will not be moving to FSX so I will still need 9 for that :)

Hi Trev - By Portland scenery do you mean the Flightzone stuff? If it's the same one, I have it..... it's awesome!!

I've done three FSX M/plr flights, all in the Arielfoundry F-18D, absolutely brilliant, but I can have the backseat in game experience by using the FSNet module in FS9.
