UKMIL Lightning

Post by RobDob »

Currently in development at UKMIL is the English Electric Lightning for FSX, this is the first foray into the world of bump-mapping for a UKMIL model.

Will be the perfect addition to the Binbrook Scenery that is under construction! :)

I presume it won't launch with a Mk1A serial on a Mk3 model! :worried:

Looking good though!

I reckon bump mapping and self shadowing works a lot better with hand painted textures, rather than photoreal ones, as the photoreal paints will have shadows and different lighting effects already on the image. I'm pretty sure there'd be a bit of a conflict if you're seeing a shadow going one way on the paint, and the correct way in the sim!
