Jens' Tudor available at Avsim now, presumably at the Pond as well although I haven't checked. Another one for the VA possibly?

Re: Tudor HU
A couple of shots of the Air Charters Tudor 4B, which oddly enough I was looking at a B&W picture of last night and wondering what the colour scheme might be - and now I know!
She seems to cruise at a nose down pitch of 2-2.5deg - based on the most cursory of readings of the destructions that Jens has as usual included. That's not intended to be seen as a criticism, it just looks a bit odd after the Hermes which is about -0.4deg for level cruise. Anyhoo a cracking addition to Jens stable.
Thanks a lot Jens for single-handedly plugging great swathes of the British classic transport market.

Re: Tudor HU
Hi Allan,
If it flies nose down, then I think you are flying too fast. The recommended cruising speed is around 155 knots indicated airspeed. Perhaps 160 kts at full load, and 150 kts after a long flight, when most of the fuel has been burned off. There are instructions (not destructions, I hope
) in the docs, including the 'virtual kneeboard'
The Hermes was known to fly in a 'tail-down' attitude, so that's how I modelled it.
Best regards
Jens

Right, well it was a cursory look!
Obviously I need to slow down a bit - I suspect I had about 30-40 more knots showing when I was playing with it - and make a more detailed reading of the instructions
It's a lovely aircraft and could show a few default designs a thing or two about taxying - saves destroying landing and taxiway lights.
Now if you were to chop off the Merlins and sling a few jet engines under the wings you'd have yet another rara avis.......

Downloaded this from Simviation today - can't wait to try it out later.
I think the fuselage very much resembles the DC-4, so am I to take it this is yet another fantastic British design that the yanks stole and called their own?
Incidentally - whilst the DC-4 is very well modeled, I really dislike flying it - it just seems sooo cumbersome - I bet this is more fun!
ooh, I'm a mischievous rascal, aren't I

I don't think they stole anything for the Tudor. Not even the Russians make aircraft that ugly
