Your BAC 1-11 - just because you deserve it

Post by DGF042 »

Okay I'm a little late maybe but ... well it's just some 'honor to whom honor is due'.
I have lots of aircraft in my hangar and especially old Jetliners are my favourites so I have each and every of them payware, freeware, doesn't matter.

But among all the 1-11 is the best. I still can't find any bruises or bugs at all. It just works, feels and looks great, has a great Cockpit and VC
... and very soon after her is your Trident (with only a 742 and 721 from other makers - I'm sorry - between)
I must say sometimes I'm really really sad my beloved B707 isn't british.
A 707 in this qualitity I would never fly anything else again ...
;o)

Thanks lot for that great bird

Welcome to the forum DGF042 and thanks for your comments  There IS a 707 out there made by DM but I fear it's not the one you mention!

I'm sure DM will be well pleased ;-)

Oh stupid me, don't mean to be rude
My name's Markus from Bavaria/Germany
(actually I couldn't find where to edit my signature)

You can be sure I checked each and every single 707 and panel that's out there ;o) and some are really pretty birds (thats why I'm looking for the 707 - I think it's the most beautiful Jetliner ever made) but unfortunately so far I'm still with Paul Goldings FS2002 panel. It's nice but if you compare it with the BAC . well it's not the same ... however it's great work too. but a VC is missing and ... well the checklist is actually very very short ... the HJG panels on the other hand are not bad but they don't make me 'feel at home'. No I don't mean to be critical -after all thats only a matter of taste - ofcourse they are great work too.

I think you'll find that DaveB's talking about Avro's 707 which is much nicer than, and predates Boeings aeroplane by several years. Admittedly it isn't quite so comfortable for passengers, and baggage allowance would be fairly low. :D

Back on topic - I must say DM's 1-11 is my favourite classic jet to fly, especially as it is so versatile and, I'm quite relaxed at flying and landing her manually.
The performance feels right too and enjoy the challenge of a 'hot' underpowered take-off. The two panels are great as well as every other feature! :welldone:
