Paninternational / Germanair BAC1-11s?

Post by virginblue »

Some of the "German" BAC1-11s are available - e.g. the BEA IGS, Hapag-Lloyd, Bavaria, Germanair OC -500s and the Bavaria -400, but I have yet to find a Paninternational, a Germanair NC or a Bavaria Germanair -500.

Anyone aware of a repaint for any of these - or maybe someone willing to do one?

Btw, Paninternational became famous when one of their BACs made an emergency landing on a German highway near Hamburg in the early 1970s.

Stupid me :brick:

Forgot about the original Germanair livery on the -500 in the base pack (it is, of course, on my hard drive). I have edited my above list to avoid further confusion.

Indeed I am after the later blueish livery, either the Bavaria or the Bavaria Germanair one.

Lovely work Tony. That scheme at first glance reminds me of the old Cyprus Airways.

Looks great -thanks for going on the mission. Looking forward to make my first ride with it. Guess as we are talking about Bavaria Germanair, this smiley is spot on: CHEERS

By the way, this lovely BAC1-11 is part of the TUIFly pedigree. Bavaria and Germanair merged to become Bavaria Germanair. This airline then merged with Hapag-Lloyd under the latter's name (that why the BAC1-11s ended up in Hapag's livery) which became Hapagfly and ultimately TUIFly.

Paninternational was rather short-lived. It was one of the numerous German airlines set up in the early 1970s as a tax loop-hole for the rich and not so famous.
