BBC 4 19:00 (Sat) - Sir Jackie Stewart, the Flying Scot

Post by VC10 »

A documentary portrait. Apparently there are further films to come on Jim Clarke & Graham Hill.

Those were the days when you knew where you were with F1 - you could be sure the race results published on Sunday night would still stand a month or two later.
In other words before money corrupted the sport and turned it into big business. The only down side was you were lucky if it got a mention on the news let alone any meaningful race coverage other than the British GP (it was on a Saturday then) and Monaco. That coverage would get interrupted for the next race from Kempton Park
If God had meant us to fly, he would have given us tickets.
