Something very special coming for FS9 - the beta screenies are incredibly good.

Thats quite incredible -- Peter I'm assuming this has been a long gestation period for this ....

The proof for me will be using it in Hawaii where you have two totally different types of Ocean scenery
very close together -- ie the North Shore which shelves off very quickly and produces the BIG waves
and the south shore which would be more like the coral heads you see in their demo video

It's on my list.

I've been using REPro for while and that's excellent, so I'm sure the new product will be even better.

But I don't think the screenshots are very helpful because all the daylight shots have highly saturated colour so you can't see what it looks like in natural light. Shame they couldn't show some screenies that looked realistic. Never mind, I'm sure the finished product will be well worth the money. I'll buy it on the strength of the last version - but not on the strength of the screenies!

Yes Dave I use REPro all the time now but I will certainly look towards replacing it with REX as soon as it is released for FS9 :flying:

Tony, I think that like REP, REX will replace all your textures...Sea, Land, Cloud and Sunsets and Dawn effects. I think the GUI will allow you many choices in each branch and you will be able to experiment till you find your personal favourites :flying:

Thanks Peter, so I guess ground enviroment will be over written or at least the textures will, however Active Sky??? will that still be needed.

Tony I don't use Active Sky but I am pretty sure that if you really wanted to, you could run Active Sky after setting up REX and it would simply overwrite the REX sky textures with its own sky textures...This might introduce complications on any UNinstalling because sometimes an installation makes backup copies of existing textures before overwriting with its own textures...Then when later you UNinstall, those backup textures will be re-instated...Thus when you play two applications against each other you can NOT guarantee that on UNinstall the reinstated textures are FS9 Default...Complicated I know but if you think about it, you will see what I mean. :flying:
