Nightbomber film.

Post by Lancman »

Some of you may have seen this film before but it's new to me. A one hour documentary shot in 1944 describing Lancaster operations from RAF Hemswell.
http://factualtv.com/documentary/Nightbombers well worth watching.

Hiya Lancman

I've moved this down to E&S as while it's classic British.. it's not exactly flightsim ;-) Looks interesting. Not had a chance to watch it all yet

Hi Lancman, just watched it, brilliant!!

Pass Hemswell quite often so next time will stop and think of the crews seen in that film, no runways anymore as it has all been turned back into agricultural land but hangers and buildings still remain.

Regards
Nigel.

' morning Dave,
How did you buy your copy? I can't find any available at the usual on-line stores and a download is impractical here in Cyprus. I'd very like to get a copy of my own.

Hello Mate..

Well.. on the 'view' page given in the link above.. you can either click on the forward arrow and watch the film or, if you look to the RH side of the screen, you'll see a number of boxes.. 1 showing cart details. I think you hit the box above it to download and this starts the buying process. It's listed as being £2.40 or something ridiculous like that but there is a nominal charge for all purchases under a tenner. This put the total cost to Eu3.49 or £3.20 in real money. The film is some 600-oddmb long but it came down on my system in good time with an excellent connection speed (my BB is only 2mb and it showed a steady 240+KB/Sec) :)
