I've cleaned out the pond!
Just a quick heads up that the Pond has had a bit of a spring redesign.
Next on the list is a redesign of the file library and getting the gallery working again.
Any comments or suggestions guys?

Looks good. When I try to log in though, it says "You are not authorized to view this resource!" in a pop-up window.

Hi Chris
I can't get in myself at the moment and I had this temporary yesterday..........It might be Rob making changes.
Anyone else who has a problem and can't get the site to post the query over there, please post it here and we will get it sorted ASAP
Appologies to anyone getting problems but a revamp is taking place which is making it more secure and easier to use

Rob
One question/suggestion - is it possible to change the filenaming system so it doesn't have that alphanumeric string on the front of each filename?
I keep wondering what the strange files are but finally realise from the rest of the filename before I delete it

I'll look into that Ian and see what I can do.

Re: I've cleaned out the pond!
Ian..
I don't know how easy that would be to implement but I know what you mean. Unless you make a note of the filename as it saves, it can be a devil to find later. I downloaded Brians Auster J1 paint not long after he uploaded it and it took me yonks to find as I'd not paid attention to the filename. J1?.. Auster??.. G-AGTO??.. no. It was alive and well under 8828efAuster J1 G-AGTO.zip. It's not so bad if you have time to search but can be a little frustrating if you don't ;-)
EDIT.. Sri Rob, we passed in the ether (or however it's spelled)

Re: I've cleaned out the pond!
I'm not sure how easy it will be to implement either Dave, at least not with files already on the site as they are renamed on upload. I could probably quite easily stop it with new files uploaded in the future though.
On an unrelated note, if anyone has any knowledge of css files i'd appreceate it if they'd pm me. The new menu at the top of the page has dropdowns but they're displaying behind the main content. I suspect it's the css files making it do that but am not too good with them... I could do with a hand.
