Duxford

Here's a few pics from yesterdays (17th) Duxford airshow.
Weather was wet in the morning, but stayed dry for most of the actual display. The high winds kept some aircraft away, and the low cloud later in the afternoon limited some displays a bit.
The theme was "Best Of British", but seemed to include quite a few American aircraft, albeit ones that had seen British service.

It started with a definite British Classic!

Blimey.. that's the first Duxford I've missed since it was a WWII fighter base (it seems like it anyway). Completely forgot.. although that's probably down to the fact I really didn't think I'd be able to get off anyway. One minute you have staff.. the next, they're ill or on holiday (4 down at present) :-(

Great pics, Dave.

I so wanted to go, but only got back from San Diego on Saturday (company business).
Missing the VC-10 was bad enough, but seeing that there were two Gnats really rubs salt into the wounds.
I did manage to visit the San Diego Air and Space museum though - I'll post some pics when I get the chance.

PS Good to see Sally B back in the air again.
