Offshore Development Group

Post by delticbob »

A query....

Does anyone on here know if the Offshore Development Group has ceased to be?

http://www.fs-odg.com/forum/index.php?P ... 353a26d997;

On May 26th I registered with their website, receiving the ususal automated replay that an 'admin' would have to activate the account before I could post/have access to downloads, & that I would receive another e-mail confirming the activation in due course.

Dispite a prompt e-mail from me on May 30th, I have still received no news from them. Therefore I can only assume:
(a) they have ceased operations, or (b) they treat prospective members appallingly. So any news as to their fate would be welcome.

Thanks in advance,

Bob

Hi Bob..

Paul (aka basys) is up here on a regular basis (no pun intended) and I've not seen mention that the ODG have ceased to be

Perhaps he'll respond to this when he see's it ;-)

Hi Folks
Does anyone on here know if the Offshore Development Group has ceased to be?
Bob -
Certainly hope not. :D

Yep I know I hadn't replied to your email.

I know it doesn't help,
but guessing you missed the statement above the login window -
News: Welcome to the ODG forums. New Members - Admin approval may take 24 hours.
Check whether you can login, before you report that you cant. Once activated, please read the FAQ before posting.
NB Above is my colour emphasis, now applied to site.

You signed up with your onshore_bob account at 12:56:56 Tue, 26 May '09
I activated it that afternoon shortly after you signed up.

Its possible your activation email has gone astray.
Maybe check your spam box.

Its also possible that it wasn't sent,
but there's no matching error in the log.

Please followup here if you've a problem logging in.

thank you to both of you.

I did try logging in once, but it said that the account had not yet been activated.

I have not received an e-mail from the group (ODG) since the automated one on the day I joined.

Hi Folks

Bob -
Please try logging in at ODG.
Let me know if you have any problem.

I did try logging in once, but it said that the account had not yet been activated.
SMF records every login by username and IP.
In doing so it reads a cookie from your machine.

The error log shows all failures.
example -

Your account is still awaiting admin approval.
Clicking those entries displays the username & other details.

Clicking on a user's profile
also gives a full history of errors.
There's none against your account.

You'd signed up from a TalkTalk/opaltelecom account.

We have 7 members from TalkTalk/opaltelecom accounts.
All of them have either activated accounts, or are from 2008 or earlier.

However -
The error log shows someone attempting to login at 09:04:46 Wed, 27 May '09
from a TalkTalk/opaltelecom account,
but they forgot to enter their username. ;-)
