Tonks, from which aircraft was that last one taken...your VC-10 ? Were you in formation with that one in the photo, and both turning on finals at the same time ?? :o

Or have I missed something here ? :worried:

I suspect they were flying an "accompanied letdown", where the pair fly an approach in formation, with the leader overshooting in the final stages of the approach to allow the number two to land. :)
