Very nice indeed. Still yet to photograph a AA Electra (properly, anyway), although I've seen them a few times over my house.

Nice to see FS KBT are still going, too. Maybe they'll get round to upgrading their excellent P-3 series, too...

Having had a further play, a lot of the VC switches don't seem to work & many have the same tooltips :dunno:
Only managed to start no.1 engine via the VC. Had to start the others using the 2d panels.

Oh dear, I was looking forward to this too (a 4 hour download), I wonder how such clever people who can make this type of thing release it with annoying errors that could be fixed without too much trouble.

It's a shame. It feels like a beta, rather than a finished release.

I hope it gets sorted out as I flew in an Ansett-ANA one when I was 9, and wouldn't mind recreating that flight. Nice looking aircraft, the Electra.

I couldn't find any documentation in the FSX download but the Readme refers to Paul Strogens L188 panel. I've downloaded that from Flightsim and there is quite a lot of information about the aircraft and panel. I am just printing it off now but I hope it will show how to start all the engines.

Be advised that my L-188 panel was built for FS2004. I gave the KBT team permission to
use any parts of it that they desired.

That said, the starter code for FS2004 is very different than the code for FSX.
Modifications would have had to have been made to my code for it to work
successfully in FSX.

In a couple of very brief emails from the KBT team they indicated that they
had made changes, but did not specify what they entailed.

I have downloaded both models of their L-188 but am rather busy for the next
three weeks or so and won't be able to check them out :(

Paul Strogen

EDIT: I just installed the passenger model and did a quick checkout and
made a test hop.
I was able to start all 4 engines but it required using the 2D overhead
panel starter and engine select switches and 'flipping' the engine
select while the starter was engaged until the original selected engine
started. Then repeating that for each of the other engines.
This is because the starter code is my original FS2004 code.

I'm pretty certain I can 'fix' that so that the engine select and starter on the
2D panel work as they should.
However, the VC 3d switches/functions are hard-coded into the VC model
and I can't do anything to change the operation, or non-operation of those
switches.

I won't be able to get to this for a few weeks as I am hopping a plane early
Wednesday morning. I will get to it, so please be patient.
