The article says "The visuals software was written in OpenGL using commercial and open-source scene graph engines" which leads me to think X-Plane. Anybody here have any clout with the Aussies?

Haven't been around much lately, hope I haven't missed much besides the tragedy of MSFS closing down, but there might be hope for us flight simmers after all:
