'Churchill's British Restaurant and Pub'. Hmm. Never stepped foot in this place but when it went by the name 'Londoners Pub' an ex-pat Brit friend of mine would say in a grumbling voice "That's not a pub!"

The site of a WWII POW camp. The prisoners (mostly Rommel's boys from North Africa) were supposedly brought here because it was thought that the weather in this part of Texas was similar to the weather in north Africa.
A good time was had by all except for a few of the loyal Nazi prisoners who were killed by their fellow prisoners who weren't so keen on the Nazi party.

I'd love to see the city build a replica of the barracks or something just to give the visitors a sense of what was there during the war. The camp was used as a migrant farm workers camp before (and briefly after) the war. The prisoners were actually allowed to work in the fields on the local farms...I guess they weren't considered much of a "flight risk".
