Are you flying in FS.9 or FS.X??

Re: 1-11 autopilot/radio problems
sorry, forgot to mention, its fs9. thanks
Re: 1-11 autopilot/radio problems
At the risk of overstating the obvious, do you have the master avionics switch turned on? It's the switch right below the takeoff/landing speed chinagraph in both the 2d & VC cockpit.
I speak from experience on this one. When loading the 1-11 cold & dark, I've neglected to turn on the avionics switch many times.

thankyou very much!, forgot about the avionics master switch, autopilot and radios working fine now!
Strange that no mention of turning on the avionics master in the start up checklist though?? is this switch on the real 1-11 or just on the sim?
Thanks again.

Re: 1-11 autopilot/radio problems
You're quite welcome! As I mentioned, it's an error I made plenty of times myself!
I'm unsure of the placement of the switch in reality...or if it's even present on real 1-11s. I suspect it's placement is more or less a concession to the FS panel layout...but hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me could comment on that.
Good luck.
