1-11 autopilot/radio problems

Hi, when flying the Dm 1-11 400/500 i cant turn the autopilot on and also am unable to change frequencies on the nav and com radios. This never used to happen so just wondered where im going wrong? Ive gone through the checklists, evrything else is working fine, any help much apprciated. Thankyou.

At the risk of overstating the obvious, do you have the master avionics switch turned on? It's the switch right below the takeoff/landing speed chinagraph in both the 2d & VC cockpit.

I speak from experience on this one. When loading the 1-11 cold & dark, I've neglected to turn on the avionics switch many times. :$ :doh:

thankyou very much!, forgot about the avionics master switch, autopilot and radios working fine now!
Strange that no mention of turning on the avionics master in the start up checklist though?? is this switch on the real 1-11 or just on the sim?

You're quite welcome! As I mentioned, it's an error I made plenty of times myself!

I'm unsure of the placement of the switch in reality...or if it's even present on real 1-11s. I suspect it's placement is more or less a concession to the FS panel layout...but hopefully someone more knowledgeable than me could comment on that.
