Skysim Hawk- where's that activation email?!
For Christmas, I happily received a copy of this beautiful looking Hawk, and eagerly installed it. I had read a lot about the awful installation process, and was prepared for the worst. It was- is- worse than that.
I sent off my email to [email protected], requesting an activation code. They say they continue to work over Christmas and the holidays, and, apporaching 24 hours since I sent it (that it how long they said I should allow for a reply), there is still no email back. Is anyone able to get in contact with this Gordon (the activator man) who can be spied around the Skysim forums, to ask him to check the emails?
One worrying thing that I heard anonymously, is that Skysim is no longer supporting their products, or something Uh oh.
I really want to get this bird flying- WHEN?
Oh- why is this not on the Skysim forums? Trying to register, it says they have a server problem. Customer service is just fantastic, y'know...
Regards,
Ollie

Hi Ollie,
Obviously we're not Skysim so have no idea whats going on. I take it you've emailed Gordon etc? Only thing I can think is that maybe he has some internet connection problems at the minute? We've had some terrible weather of late, and if Gordon lives somewhere that has been badly affected, he may not have internet connectivity. The reason I say this is that one of our own team was without Gas and Electricty for almost a week until Christmas eve, and he lives in Bedfordshire, which isn't the most remote place in the world.
Maybe someone here knows a better way to contact Gordon, either way I hope you get it sorted soon.

Re: Skysim Hawk- where's that activation email?!
Yes, hello!
The thing is, Gordon maintains the Skysim Support email (I think), but I may be able to find a personal email. Internet connections may be a problem- but all the snow round here (Cirencester) is going away pretty rapidly! Good and bad really, but I can imagine it's still bad elsewhere.
Can't wait to blast that thing 'round the Mach Loop with my shiny new and stunning Horizon Generation X scenery... I'll see what I an do.
Would Rick Piper (who designed it) be able to do anything you reckon? I'll PM him.
Cheers,
Ollie

A lead- Gordon hasn't even been on the Skysim forums since the 18th- I am thinking a connection problem.
I will just have to wait...
