Caravelles

Post by TobyV »

I'm after a few Caravelles to fly into my 1966 Heathrow. I've got a list of a few airlines who operated them into LHR but not being a Caravelle expert, I'm unsure which exact variants I need (I think AFG have covered most of them):

Alitalia
Air France
Austrian
Finnair
Iberia
SAS
Swissair

Does anyone know which I am likely to need (and how one tells the difference :xgrin: )

You need to visit HJG, where they are all hosted :-)

Hello Toby,

I tried one of the earlier Caravelles, but the -6R is my favorite because it has thrust reversers. The earlier versions used drag chutes(!) for slowing on landing. As DanKH suggested, go to
simviation.com/hjg/downloads.htm. Lots of good airplanes there, including the Caravelles.

Hi guys,

I think I need a mixture of AI and real aircraft - quite like the Caravelle and might want to fly one personally although yes partly I need to fill LHR 1966 with appropriate AI.

I'll have to ahve a trawl through. The AFG site seemd to redirect to Avsim, but without iamges it was taking quite a while to read all the descriptions to figure out what I need to download. Are they easier to find on HJG?

Hi Ian,

Thanks, thats just the sort of info I'm after. This way if the repaints I'm after dont exist, at least I'll know which moderls they should be on!
