...But not quite sure how best to post them. They are all from the years 1979-1981.Following my usual pattern, the first shot is a holiday picture. This was at LAX in 1981.My wife ,daughter and niece at the bottom of the steps about to board a Laker DC10-30 returning from a fabulous hol in the west of the USA.Destination was Manchester via Prestwick.
Next shots from onboard the DC10 wating to depart.
The next shots were taken in locations as diverse as Cosford,Hucknall,,Waddington, East Mids and Lake Tahoe in California. You'll probably be able to locate them. These are from a period when I was quite active in photography and was trying to show the pictorial beauty of aircraft rather than a technical record.Hope you don't think that sounds too pretentious!.Pretence is not my style! If you like them I will post a few more later.FYI they were taken either on Kadachrome 64 or Ektachrome 100. Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!
All a pleasure to look at once again, but I particularly like the fourth one, the Beaver nose. Thats what a real aircraft should look like, all struts, intakes, exhausts, rivets, windows, and all grouped together in one tasty eyeful. I've never understood the appeal of things like the Typhoon or F-22 in MSFS when you can have proper aircraft like that.
Keep 'em coming Eric, much appreciate the time taken to post them.
