I am contemplating buying a new hard drive specifically for FSX. I have a spare slot in the case.
Currently the main programme is on the 'C' drive and some scenery is on the 'E' drive.
Although it runs very well at the moment the 'C' and 'E' drives are only 160Gb each and are getting full. (Other programmes are also installed on the 'C' drive)
I was thinking of about 250/300Gb and 10000 RPM as a baseline. The current drives are 72000 RPM it think!
I'm assuming I can add the drive and it will automatically be identified and numbered i.e. 'F' drive.
Will there be any problems re-installing FSX on a different drive as it would have already been registered.
My PC was purchased from PC Specialists about 18 months ago.
Any help / advice would be appreciated.
Regards
John

If your reinstalling from fresh, it should reactivate without problems. All I would say is backup, backup backup before you begin.
Good luck.
Good luck.
Ben.
