An old friend dropped in today.

Post by VEGAS »

This old lady popped into EGCC for a wee while today. Making a change from the Military visitors.

Made me think how many UK operators actually used these in a civilian role. I can only think of the Irish Air Contractors off the top of my head. *-)

Maybe Garry will know.

Nice Eddie

HeavyLift used them...overseas registered

That's a little unusual in that it's a military built Herk

Actually.my first link didn't work so it slowed me up :hide:

Is that the CS Herk??

Everygreen used a few ex mil Herks not that many can tell the difference......apart from always being the longer Herks, the civil version did not have parachute doors or the lower cockpit windows.

Yes it's the CS herk.

I would be the first to admit of not knowing the difference. :worried:

Even though this is a Government/military opertaed aeroplane it is a 'civl' Herk

Note the lack of lower cockpit windows :)

I presume then, you won't be aware of the passenger Herk

Only two, both done for Merpati and now with the Indonesian Air Force

Same aircraft in Air Force service has gained the lower cockpit windows.....I guess it's just a case of swapping standard panels.
