There are a few A.320's being scrapped now but they are the early ones and have done a lot of service
As to the 318's I have no idea but being of limited appeal they may well have been snapped up as a cheap source of very good spares.
I don't think there is anything wrong with the type other than no one seem to want many...the 737-600 has suffered a similar fate.
Still a smaller unpopular version has it's uses as you might well find that a carrier buys a larger fleet of semi compatible aircraft because om the commonality across the fleet.
I still can't get used to scrap yards full of DC 10 and TriStars let alone A.318's, 146 and some 757 and 767 which doesn't seem that long ago when they went jointly to Farnborough as the "latest thing"
