Re: Sir Norman Wisdom RIP
Another one of the all time greats gone...RIP Norman and thanks for all the laughs you gave us for so many years. Thought it said on the 11pm news that he died in a nursing home on the Isle-of-Man. Apparently the man was a legend in Albania and when England last played footy against Albania Norman Wisdom took to the pitch wearing a footy shirt half England colours and half Albania colours.

Re: Sir Norman Wisdom RIP
How sad. And to think that there are probably two generations that will say "who?".

Re: Sir Norman Wisdom RIP
Well, everyone in the Colonies will say "who" but I remember seeing Norman Wisdom in the early fifties in a pantomime in London. I think it might have been "Buttons" Thanks Norman, for all the laughs and may you and rest in peace!

Re: Sir Norman Wisdom RIP
I watched one of his films at Butlins when I was about 7 or 8, and I don't think I laughed quite as much again until Michael Portillo lost his seat in the 1997 election.
Rest in peace Sir Norman, a long life well lived.![thumbs Up ](./images/smilies/023.gif)

I meant everywhere. I saw his films in the UK as a kid and I remember he could sing too.nigelb wrote:Well, everyone in the Colonies will say "who"
I would love to see " The first guy to wear his cap at a stupid angle" as his epitaph. A homie before his time. RIP
