Vintage Heathrow scenery...possible!?
I purchased this document a few months ago, lovely item, which I treasure very much,
among my other vintage Heathrow
related memorabilia.
Following these plans, would it be possible for a scenery designer to
recreate the whole area, including the North side!?
no need for specific textures on the buildings, I have some great
red brick textures here, for the main ones, it would be great just great to have this
recreated in FS9 and /or FSX...anybody interested!? I could provide the scanned plans/views...
pleaaazzz!?!;)
images a bit too bg, right!?!...

Hi Rui
This scenery is already in existance. Pop over to CalClassics (www.calclassics.com), click on scenery then scroll down and you'll see it I think the link takes you to AVSIM
One word of caution..
If you have anything other than default UK terrain, you may end up with lakes at the begining of 27R and 09R Both north and south sides are recreated

well, I went straight to aclassics car websit, then I googled it, and found it...but with all due respect... it doesnt do Heathrow justice...the tower looks good, but the white buildings all round...oh well.... thanks again anyway, Dave.

Hi Rui..
You may be missing some textures. I had a couple of areas showing untextured but managed to fix it when pointed in the right direction. All buildings there should be textured. Can you post a screenshot?? Wolfgang often visits here so he may be able to advise

Hi Rui
I'm guessing you might be running the scenery in FSX in DX10 mode ?
buildings will be white in DX10 preview mode
Regards
