Welcome John
Prehaps you might wish to upgrade to 2004? your choices in scenery and aircraft are far better without too much strain on your computer
Cheers

Hi John and Welcome
I'm very much with Leif on this one.. have a scrounge around and see if you can pick up a copy of FS9 (FS2004 A Century of Flight). It's a far better sim in almost every respect and as Leif said, there's not a great impact in performance. Many of our models were produced for FS2002.. some before that but all have been modified to accommodate FS9 and some, for FSX. The choice of aircraft and scenery for FS2004 is vast and improvements between sims mean that both scenery and aircraft are much better visually as well as being more realistic.

I concur - 2004 is a more realistic sim, in fact somethink even better than the latest version fsx.
but that is an entirely different story.
however if you are set on using 2002
have a look at flightsim.com or
Avsim.com
Simviation.com
you have to register first then go to the library sections and define your search using the menus
to find the files for 2002.
all the best and remember it's all about having fun,

Hi John. These replies are spot on.FS9(2004) is far superior to 2002.Take a look in one of the used equipment shops to be found on many High Streets these days and I bet you will find a copy FS9 very cheap.Like you,I prefer short haul flights whether they be in something like a 767 or in one of the superb aircraft to be found via this website.Best Wishes EricT

Re: flt sim 2002
UK2000 scenery has some of its earlier products suitable for both fs2002 and fs2004. I agree with the other guys FS2004 is the better however I think the graphics engine seemed better in 2002 ??

AMD Phenom II X4 BE 965 @ 3.80GHz
nVidia GTX 560 TI 448 Cores
