John Sullivan Dies

Post by Tomliner »

Just noticed this on the BBC website. John Sullivan was 64.What a great loss to British comedy writing. In the unlikely event that you don't know,John Sullivan was the creator of what must be the funniest 'sitcom' ever written-'Only Fools And Horses' What a brilliant legacy he leaves.EricT

A heck of a loss. Its amazing to think that during the course of 10 years, all the comedy, characters and one-liners were the product of a single writer.

RIP John.

Just saw it on the news. :( He was an absolute genius.

There was due to be another 'Rock &Chips' next Christmas, don't know now though.

His name will live on as the man behind arguably one of the greatest comedy's ever to appear on our screens.

I have every episode of Only Fools & Horses on DVD.

They are something that you can watch again and again and find them funny every time.

RIP Sir. :((

Oh Dear,

That is sad news, I was only just watching "Rock and Chips" this afternoon.

Classic British Comedy writing indeed.

There is one on this Thursday, but I am guessing it is a repeat of the last Christmas show.
