Despite Flamingoes not being indigenous, how did I know it was going to be a UK airport. 8)

In the good old days, old Fred with his 12 bore would have dispatched the bird in between landings and his missus would get a nice hat and everyone would have carried on.

Today it probably took 30 people, health & safety review, numerous forms to fill in and meeting booked for tomorrow to discuss the prevention of further Flamingoes on the runway.

As much as I like the UK I hate the place, give me a time machine and send me back to the 19th century which is last time this country had a backbone.
