VC-10 at Brize 20-12-11 (quite a few pics)

Post by Olicat »

Before all closed up I managed to get to Brize with the hope of seeing a VC-10 (Plus other things, but they're not British!) and I was stopped by the approach lights outside the base when this VC-10 overshot. I jumped out of the car and took a few piccies. I thought someone might want to see them...

When he put the power up here it was an amazing noise! Worth the 3 hour journey!

After that he came around and landed

I hope you enjoyed these as much as I enjoyed taking them and I hope they are the right size.

Thanks for that. I do need to get myself to Brize somehow before they're all gone...

Those photos bring back memories of doing the weekly ILS checks there with 10s on approach

Somehow they had a greater "presence" than the Tristars.
