Virtavia half-price sale.

Post by Paul K »

Just to let you know.

It ends on Thursday 26th July, so there's a few days to think about it.

Anybody got any recommendations from their native FSX range ? I'll even consider a port-over if its a good one. I recently re-read Jack Broughton's 'Thud Ridge' and so I'm curious as to what their F-105 is like.

I haven't paid for an add on for some time now.Not that I'm too tight(no comments please) but more to do with having an aging but functioning pc that could go belly up at any time. However,I do rather fancy a go at the Lockheed Neptune.Has anyone here tried it already?
On the subject of payware,I see that VFR Scenery for Scotland for FS9 is available but I'm reluctant to shell out for it for the same reason, having said which, the VFR stuff is quite a bit more expensive than the Neptune. :) EricT

Dave, I'd forgotten about their Islander, and it seems so have they - its not advertised in the sale. Odd, because even their most recent releases are there. *-) Dave, didn't you have their Scimitar ? I'm sure it was you.

Eric, the Neptune looks a distinct possibility for me - its a large vintage twin prop, which is right up my street, and native FSX to boot ( always assuming on this occasion Virtavia/Alphasim's definition of 'native FSX' corresponds with the rest of the world's ).

Hi Paul..

Yes, I have the Scimitar.. in fact I have almost all the old Alpha models. The Islander, Wokka and Seaking are the only 'native' FSX versions I have.. that is, there aren't FS9 versions or them or new FS9 ones at least. The FSX/FS9 dual releases are ok.. well, some of them.. older ones suffered the odd prop rubbish post SP1. The Islander, Wokka and Seaking are new builds for FSX only :)
