I read Ric Gillespie's book 'Finding Amelia' a couple of years ago, and he makes a convincing case for Nikumaroro ( or Gardner Island as it was then ) being her final resting place. I hope he eventually solves the mystery, because he's poured so much of his life into it, and it would be a shame if he'd been barking up the wrong tree all this time.

I recommend the book highly, by the way. It comes with a CD containing maps, photos, transcripts of radio messages and so on.
