I do have a suspicion though, that after searching everywhere on Mars for life and finding nothing, they finally look at the landing site and there, right where the lander came down, are the remains of a recently dead cat.....

The US have though been successful in their quest for alien life forms. After years of searching they eventually found some alive and well living in the White House.
