Hi Nigel ,
Very impressed with your maintenance of runway alignment during the maneuvers.
Not a jet set fan myself, but there's some lovely detail in that model!
He certainly shows some innate skills there, Mike. I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a job offer from Peter as a wingman!
I remember that Sabre from my FS9 days, It was one of my all-time favourites. A wonderful model to fly. I remember creating a couple of AI Migs that flew onto South Korea at regular intervals so that I could intercept them. I think I posted some screenies at the time. I couldn't fly it like that, though!
Here's a video of the legendary Bob Hoover doing a display in a Sabre in the Phillipines in 1961 to give you some ideas, Nigel.
Brilliant! I also have that excellent model but have hardly used it because I usually prefer the heavier metal but mainly because I use the CH yolk which just doesn't seem right for such an aircraft.Might have to give it another go but never ever could I reach Nigel's standard.
Just a pity the pilot didn't give us a wave as he taxied in! EricT
Now at the age where I know I like girls but can't remember why!
Many thanks for your kind comments, really enjoyed doing the aerobatics in the Sabre. There is a British paint version also but not quite as colourful as the one shown.
Ian, for your info they are developing an FSX version or may already have done it. If so, then you can once again intercept the Migs!!
Kind regards
Nigel
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.
