Cheers for that Ian.

I'm curious as to this Rolls Royce RB11 engine though, was that a pre cursor to the RB211

It will be interesting to see what versions are included. Does anyone know who the developer is? I must admit the existing freeware one is a great model.

Ah yes.. the Perfect Flight TriStar. What a feast for the eyes 8) I thought the Aerosim model was much more accurate though it too wasn't without it's faults.. namely the FD was a little too spritely. :worried: I eventually moved to Eric Cantu's SGA model after upgrading WinXP to SP3 as the AS gauge started throwing up errors in FS and wouldn't load :| The folk responsible for the Boeing Clipper payware model advertised a TriStar in the making but I don't recall it ever coming to fruition.. unless that was the Perfect Flight release? No.. just remembered.. the Clipper was released by 'Pilots'.

Anyhoo.. I saw this one advertised by JF (I too received the email) but it's not evoked any desire to spend money. Didn't look at the detail.. just spent far too much on stuff of late and I can do without spending more

A Transat L1011 gave me a memorable flight once CYVR to EGKK. It was so old and creaky and when the captain "hit" :help: the ground at Gatwick I felt sure the undercarriage would emerge through the top of the wings. I'm not much of a tube simflyer but I may be tempted this time dependent on the reviews.

I picked this up on the Avsim forum and somebody asked the same question. A Just Flight person came along and answered that it's an 'in-house' project, so no outside developer.
Whether or not that's good or bad remains to be seen

Ian :)

I have many fond memories of flying in a BA Tristar from Heathrow to Boston via Bermuda, it was very comfortable.

What I didn't like was the heavily armed little girl cop at Bermuda guarding the transit lounge.

I think the "in house" developer is (or what was) Aeroplane Heaven. Could be wrong though :worried:
