I used to travel on high speed catamaran ferries a lot

Some trips were very rough, in one case going over the roof and blowing the TV's :-O

Impossible to walk and yes, the novelty soon wears of and all you could do was sit and listen to the duty free shop and bar getting trashed

Just thought I'd mention that today it's the 208th anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar.I don't believe the rumour that DaveB actually took part in it! :) EricT

That reminds me of a nite in the English channel when my mate and i sharing a berth on a ferry coming home had a rude awakening at 3am being thrown out of our bunks and in all the years i crossed the Channel that was, thank goodness, the only time i had to grab my life jacket and make for the muster station,

We had a English Pilot on board [not a flying one] ;) because it was a French ferry on it's way into Dover, and i remember him saying" if she does not come back we will be over the side"! not something you want to hear i can assure you!!

Well we had a good Captain as he turned the ship ok but it was the worst crossing i had, mind you it was a flat bottom ship so it never was a very good crossing anyway, thankfully the company i drove for only used her for 3 months and then we went back to some better ferries,

Cheers,

Roger.
