I know.. it's just not fair  I pay my PayPal off every month and say 'that's it for now.. nothing new I want'. If only..

God, that reminds me.. I also bought the Majestic Dash8 :wall: I'd like to say how brilliant that is but my honest opinion would tarnish these hallowed pages! :shhh: :-# :wasntme:

I needed the hammer just before adding the Dash8 to basket!

Like you, I'd been eyeing it up for ages but the bottom line is.. they've taken a perfectly good FD and ballsed it up. It gets better if you hit the right buttons but I was bitterly disappointed. Thirty bloody quid too :((

You might like it mind you. It looks great (for a Dash8) and it's not particularly rough on FR's which is always a bonus ;) Had it been 'try before you buy'.. I wouldn't have bought :cpu:

Concur wholeheartedly with you, Dave.

I was also eyeing it up for yonks, but when I succumbed, I was also very disappointed (so much so that it is now in the virtual bin!).

I tried the PSS one, too, and actually found that better, though still not quite what I was hoping for. The Dash 8 is one of my favourite twinliners, along with the ATRs and F27/50. The Flt1 ATR offering is okay, but there really hasn't been a good version of any of those :(

I've just started using the old PAD ones again :) I don't mind their shortcomings because they didn't take my money for it!

I almost got it when it was on sale a couple of weeks back, but managed to resist
I think the Dash 8 is just plain ugly, but everyone seemed to think it was the mutts nuts, simulation wise. Glad I didn't give in!

I have the PSS model too and while it may not be 'as real as it gets'.. it's infinitely nicer to fly. Most models when they come off the drawing board are inherantly stable in my experience.. some are too stable. With the Majestic model, they've binned all that and made it inherantly unstable so unless it's on AP, you constantly have to work it to stay on a given course/heading and I MEAN constantly too. They say in the blurb that the faster it goes, the more stable it becomes. Yeah, well it does, a little 8) I've yet to try the AP.. it's only been loaded twice (the model that is) and I've seen enough :| I honestly felt sick to the teeth after flight one and little better after the second and final flight :( It certainly won't be seeing Uk2k Heathrow v3

Have you got the Majestic Dash8 Nige?? I did have the F1 ATR a long time ago (for FS9) but it's been in the bin for longer than I can remember. I stumbled over my 'key' for it the other day while looking for something else on an old HD
