Hi All,
http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/news/1 ... ?ref=var_0
Such a shame for all hoping to see both Lancasters ,mind you the Canadian Lanc did have trouble with an engine which delayed it's departure by 4 hours on the Monday it left Canada to fly over so perhaps this has raised it's head again.

Re: Canadian Lancaster
No, that was substandard magnetos, which were changed. This looks much more serious, with the engine streaming smoke/steam during the emergency return according to a picture I have seen . It's not clear whether they were able to feather it or whether it continued to rotate

Re: Canadian Lancaster
Engine change in time for Tuesday (3 Lancasters @ East Kirkby) seems to be the plan.
