Classic Film
Not sure if this has been posted before, but there are some real British classics here and it is certainly of its time.

Re: Classic Film
I enjoyed that Eric...The Vampire team brought back some memories...Just two years later and I was doing that myself in Venoms, in both Germany and Rhodesia

Re: Classic Film
Thank you Eric,
I was too young to appreciate it at the time, great to see it now!

Re: Classic Film
The thing which staggered me was right at the start, ( actually 0:44 ) where the Brabazon parked near a Shackleton makes the Shack ( and some nearby Lincolns ) look like a toy . I remember once seeing it in flight, and it did not look so enormous in the air

Re: Classic Film
I was allowed to visit the Brabazon when it was in its hangar at Filton (mainly because my father was a frequent visitor gathering life data for Herc engines), which must have been 1950 or '51.
I said that it didn't look very big to the guide & then my father said look further back & there was a Lincoln at the back of the hangar looking very small!
As for visiting the Farnboro air show I went to quite a few as a kid because of my fathers contacts, but usually on the friday. 1951 must have been one that I missed! Thanks for posting.
