Punctuation

Post by airboatr »

Punctuation ...

So, - a wealthy industrialist sends his wife on a continental holiday.
"Have all the fun you want, and buy what you need" he says, "But, call me before you buy anything of excessive extravagance."

As the story goes , the wife see's a large rare diamond and decides she .- just has to have it.

She telegraphs him ( I know, in this day and age, right?) about the diamond and tells him it'd make her the happiest woman in the world..
.... they are asking $78,000.

He receives her telegram and writes ; No, price to high!... he hands the note to the operator...
The operator sends the message, .. omitting the comma. Image

She was delighted, , to say the least,, to read her husbands encouraging words. .. .. No price too high !

.....

just thought I'd pass that along to the shackled here who are in the habit of leaving notes for their significant others... Image

Good one Joe.
Re "in this day & age"...the operator would say "What's a comma?" :|
Cheers, Mike.
