Thank you and sadly goodbye.....

Post by T6flyer »

After years and years going from FS1 all the way up to FSX, I have decided to call it a day and have removed the simulator from my PC. For years it was for me, I used nothing else was so keen and then if it wasn't for A2A taking me on as 2nd Consultant on their wonderful T-6 project, then I think I would have packed it all in there and then. I can't thank you all enough for your help and guidance over the years, but now it is time for me to move on.

Some of you will know that I am heavily involved with the T-6 - for over 30 years now and as we stand am more busy than ever, even taking me into a full time dream job. So with all that is going on, I simply don't have all the time to sit down and use the sim. All of my software has been donated to a ATC Squadron for their new system and my controls and hardware are off to a local Museum for their in-house simulator.

It's been a pleasure knowing everyone here and I will try and pop in every now and again. May I wish you all the best for the future.

Best wishes and Happy Landings,

Martin

Hi Martin :hello:

I've always enjoyed reading your posts and am saddened that they'll now be few and far between. However.. times change and the RW must take priority. All the very best and thank you for the years of informed input and involvement.

Cheers means a lot. Never ever thought it would come to this. But so busy with real world commitments and T-6s that just lost all interest. Was waning before A2A came along and this gave me the chance to do my bit, but since seen that became an established and well respected product, haven't fired up the sim at all. Had a wonderful ride and am so looking forward to what the future brings. Will still pop in from time to time, you are not getting rid of me that quickly.

Best wishes,

Martin

Please do, Martin. It will always be a pleasure to read up on the T6 project.

I know there are a number of folk that don't sim much who still pop in.

Cheers, all the best!

Joe

Martin,

I totally understand, work and family issues took me away from FS for years until recently I found a way to fit it back in. I suspect that with your 'dream job', virtual flying won't cut it anymore. Happy flying and hope to see you online from time to time.

Martin,
Sad in a way that you now have little time for simming, but very glad that you now have your dream job after all your past head & heart aches. I wish you well & thank you for all the help you gave me.
