Absolutely !!!
A quick web search of 'Scanguard' (the name from the above link, as opposed to 'Scan Guard' used in the title) throws up many worrying links.
The PC magazines that I have been reading (and trusting) for many years have never mentioned, or reviewed this product. From their recommendations, Kaspersky Internet Security has for the last few years consistently come out as the top payware anti-virus software. Likewise, AVAST trumps the freeware section (although it does contain a lot of 'nagware', trying to get you to upgrade to the payware version). As well as these, the following are also highly recommended -
Malwarebytes (Free)
Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (Free)
ADWCleaner (Free)
and Spybot Search and Destroy (Free edition)
All but Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (Free), don't run in the background, but have to be run manually.
Microsoft Security Essentials was reviewed as the worst freeware AV tested - even Microsoft said not to use it as a standalone AV program.
