RealAir closes its doors.

Post by DaveB »

Hi Chaps,

Read over at SoH (via Avsim) today that RealAir have closed their doors as of today. They'd had problems with their latest project and this, coupled with RW issues, left them with little choice but to call it a day. Support for current customers will continue so no issues on that score. A damn shame.

I've never been a fan of a lot of what they've done (the aircraft types that is) but their Spitfire remains, IMHO, one of if not THE best Spitfire I've ever had in FS.

Always a shame when a dev closes the does, but RW has to take priority.
Like Dave, most of their stuff doesn't appeal to me, but the Spitfire is something else. It's been a permanent fixture in my sim since FS9 days and must have more hours flown than everything else put together.

Very sad to see them closing, but there are some things in life more important than FS.

I have their Spitfire, SF-260, Lancair Legacy and Turbine Duke, and they have given me a great deal of pleasure over the years, and will continue to do so for quite some time, I'm sure.

I agree regarding the Spitfire; fantastic model and the sounds were amazing from external views! Still fly it regularly now. Wish them all the best. :(
