John Noakes

Post by Nigel H-J »

Joan Noakes of Blue Peter fame has passed away aged 83 years, always watched his escapades on Blue Peter and with his faithful dog Shep at his side in the studio.

One of his challenges that I find really hard to watch even now is his climb up onto Nelsons' column especially when the ladder he is climbing leans over the vertical. Cannot stand heights and watching it makes me cringe down in the chair.

Sad news, I grew up watching Blue Peter and fondly remember John's antics and of course Shep.

Deeply saddened by the passing of John Noakes.
I was an avid fan of Blue Peter throughout the '70's and John Noakes was always the star of the show (Peter Purves and Val Singleton were not far behind).

Thank you John, for bringing so much education, entertainment and humour.

RIP

Kevin
