A shame that it came to this.
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

I have watched many videos of people clinging on to the fence as aircraft increase thrust and have always thought that one day some-one would be seriously hurt but not killed. Such a tragedy and feel for her family. :(

Even though it is one death it is still one too many, I would not be surprised if the government or airport now place an out-right ban on this so called sport.

Regards
Nigel.

Call me heartless, but there is a lesson in Natural selection. I've no sympathy for idiots, but I do have for the poor loved ones left behind to pick up the pieces. :(

I'm with Ben on this one. It's time people started taking responsibility for their own welfare. I would absolutely love to go there but would like to think that I wouldn't be stupid. But hey ho what an awesome experience to be so close to sheer unadulterated raw power! However it must awful for her loved ones.EricT

Daft I know, but would really like to do this :stupid: or at least stand below as they fly in 50 ft or so overhead. Perhaps I won't make St Maartens, but there's always Skiathos

A tragic and senseless death. I feel sorry for her family and friends she left behind.

If it happened in the UK, local pressure groups (supported by left wing rent-a-mobs) would campaign for the banning of aircraft taking off, the lawyers would queue up to 'assist' and the BBC would go into overdrive supporting them. Special news programmes from Sky would also be shown.
