Ultimate Choice

Post by Nigel H-J »

That is if you can afford it!

Many might know of Flight Sim Labs though I hadn't until today when I stumbled on their site.

Now to me $99.95 is too much out of my reach.......and survival!! also you really do need a fast computer to get the best from it but.

Although a longish presentation video it is well worth watching. They have even engineered the aircraft to taxi on one engine without it veering to one side. The ATC was brilliant on hearing it. Wonder if it is all part of the model as the comms is nothing like I have heard anywhere apart from actual atc recordings you can buy as an add-on.

Scroll down the page for video.

How the heck do I get past the wife!! :hide: :help:

Just converted the amount.....£76.25 now if you look at that video and see how much engineering they have done then compare the price of it to say the PMDG DC6 which equates to £53.41 it is only £23 pounds more expensive. Then you have to weigh up between the two which would give you greater satisfaction and which gives greater realism.

If I had the choice it would be the A320!! Have to hope they have a sale!!

Nigel.

You're doing a fine job of talking yourself into it Nige

I'd be a bit cautious of this:
NOTE: Minimum settings allow the aircraft to load and operate but you’ll need to make certain compromises in scenery settings to get adequate performance.

I doubt you'd be laughing at the smoothness of the PMDG DC-6 either so first things first.. consider getting a new PC past the wife

I can barely understand the Aerosoft A320's, never mind this behemoth. (not an Airbus lover, can you tell?)

Well Dave, the wife did promise me that one day I can have (for the last time) a high end computer, now you will probably not understand my reasoning here but due to the need to carry out important home improvements I declined the offer to save money!!

One day though, it will happen.
